Pacing. Accelerate over the first 10 to 20 steps, increasing to your regular running pace and finishing strong through the top of the hill. Don’t sprint up click a hill. Instead, slow down as you approach, and take up to 20 steps or so to accelerate. I like to think of this as downshifting a car. You’ll get better fuel economy!
